10 Things I Love: Summer Dresses

There are so many dresses I am gaga over this season! I thought it would be fun to share 10 of my favorite dresses with you. This is the kind of post that I accidently spend hours writing (it's fun!) dress 1/dress 2

I love stripes and black and white. Both of these dresses have me swooning! So many styling possibilities... dress 3/dress 4

This apple dress makes my heart skip a beat and I already own dress number six and love it so much. Bold patterns are lots of fun to wear. dress 5/dress 6

I have to admit, I have a huge Kate Spade crush right now. I just adore her styling and vibe. So inspiring! And this minty green dress is so cute. I would wear it with black tights. dress 7/dress 8

These easy to wear dresses are perfect for summer. I gravitate towards short belted dresses almost every day. dress 9/dress 10

10 (lifestyle) blogs i enjoy...

Hi there! Yesterday I shared 10 of my favorite fashion blogs. Today I'm sharing lifestyle. I should warn you... I'm using the word "lifestyle" as a catch all. There are a couple food blogs, some DIY and some of a more personal nature. I love them all, though! Enjoy....

1. Katie's Pencil Box. I love Katie's blog and airy photography. It's beautiful and refreshing in every sense of the word. And I have to say thank you to Danielle for introducing me to this blog! 

2. Food Coma. I know I'm maybe a teeny bit biased because Emma is my sister. That said, her new blog is amazing! I mean... recipe box... need I say more? I would read her blog even if she wasn't my best friend in the whole wide world. It's good. 

3. I Go By Katie. This blog was love at first sight for me. I am very attracted to bloggers with a cohesive style and Katie is really an amazing stylist and photographer. Her blog always makes me happy and inspired to take a breather.... love. 

4. Joy The Baker. She's my other favorite food blog. Love her recipes and photo styling. She makes everything look delicious! Pretzel brownies? Yes. 

5. Honestly WTF. Some of the best DIYS and cutest style posts on the web. I really enjoy catching up with this one. 

6. Our City Lights. Another thing I am attracted to in blogs is a strong sense of self. Diana's blog has that. I don't exactly know how to describe it, but you know it when you see it. 

7. Lune. I guess that Jill is my girl crush. I love her designs and styling and all her gorgeous photos. Plus, her blog has plenty of DIYs to keep any 70s child busy. 

8. Create Loves. I met Holly though blogging four years ago and now she's one of my closest friends (see!) I think it's a wonderful story of how genuine the blogging community really can be. Beautiful!

9. The Dainty Squid. I love her. I love her. I love her! She's so cute. If you like blue hair, you'll probably love her too! 

And last, but not least...... 

10. Gala Darling. Love her. It's nice to see bloggers who really know who they are, doing what they do best!

10 (fashion) blogs i enjoy...

A few of my readers recently reminded me that I haven't shared links to blogs I love since ummm 2009? While many of those blogs are still favorites of mine (I still read Smile + Wave, Freckled Nest, Skunkboy Creatures, Sometimes Sweet and Rockstar Diaries on a daily basis!), I also have a lot of new favorites! Today I'm sharing 10 fashion blogs that I enjoy and tomorrow I'll share 10 lifestyle blogs. It's not easy to narrow it down, with all the amazingness going on in the blogging community. But here are some fashion blogs that I adoreee..... 

1. Fancy Treehouse. I love Coury's blog and personal style. It's always a treat. She has the talent of being sugary sweet, while still looking cool and effortless. Instant favorite! 

2. Tick Tock Vintage. Veronika's style is one of my favorites because she mixes vintage and designer pieces so well. Her outfits are daring, but still wearable and absolutely adorableee! Oh, and I love her blog design. 

3. Seablanket. I've been reading Chelsea's blog for over a year and it's so good. She does lots of cute DIY projects and I love seeing the progress of her collection. Plus she's gorgeous and takes great photos! I wish there were more blogs out there authored by independent fashion designers... if you know of a good one, let me know! 

4. A Curious Fancy I love this girl's style and personal ethos. It's beautiful! 

5. B. Jones Style. I love Beth Jones so so much! If I ever put together an outfit that even remotely reminds me of her, It's a keeper! She's so chic...♥ 

6. Keiko Lynn. I'm pretty sure Keiko's was the first fashion blog I started to read. I've always loved her because her style sways between ultra quirky and intimidatingly hot. It's cool when someone can be both, I think. She's also a good writer and easy to relate to. I loved this post she wrote about body image. 

7. Atlantic-Pacific. If I could trade closets with one person it would have to be her. SO many cute patterns and combinations! 

8. Here's Looking At Me Kid. I looooove Mandi's blog for so many reasons and her outfits are just one of them. I wanna make this DIY blouse asap. Looks so cute for summertime! 

9. Kendi Everyday. I love her easy outfits. Her 30 for 30 challenge is really great. I want to participate sometime! 

10. The Glamourai. I like Kelly's accessories... they're always so amazing! She has the best sunglasses and necklace collections! Inspiring... 

Speaking of fashion... I'm working on this catalog of my favorite outfit posts! Next I'm gonna make one with my favorite DIYs from my archives too. Fun! Ok.... I'm off to chat with our interns. We just got a crazy amount of fabric delivered this morning.... XO, elsie
