the things that inspire...
lately, i have been really inspired. i feel blessed to have so many beautiful things floating around in my world right now.... i thought it would be fun to share a few and also ask *you* what is inspiring you at the moment....
Film
i've been thinking i really need to rewatch *2046*.... so many beautiful colors....

(if you like foreign films... i loooove them.)
i'd also love to see *frida* again in the near future... the scene with all the glitter... steal my heart!

i've never seen *a very long engagement*... it's for sure at the top of the list of things i am meaning to do right now....
i recently saw *my kid could paint that* at the moxie. it was sort of sad, but beautiful none the less....

and (saving the best for last...) this was the most beautiful thing i have ever seen...
watch this! :]
this week i've had some lovely people staying at my loft...
my friends from One Star Story
and the boys from *School Boy Humor*
What is inspiring *you* right now?
have a lovely day.... hugs. XOXO.elsie

i've been inspired lately by a new book I have - "Altered Curiosities", my vintage fabrics I got at an estate auction, and the flea market goodies I picked up yesterday which include a copy of "The Complete Guide to Illustration" I found for a dollar! Also, Sweeney Todd, Keane, and Dove chocolate (dark, with almonds).

Oh I love all your stuff...awesome inspiration.
What has been inspiring me in particular these days is my daughter Rachel She is 10 years old & starting her own creative style. I am loving watching it emerge. Right now on my blog she is on a quest to find a name for the silly sock creature she created. So if nayone reading this has a moment...make a 5th grader's day & post a name suggestion.

At the moment it is...bacon.
Not the actor or the painter just regular fried bacon. Wrote about it today on my blog.

OOOps I posted my comment in the wrong place! Iposted at the bottom of the entire page rather than the Dec. 10th post. OOps
You should check out a film called Baraka!!!! It is abeautiful magical journey through nature and some of the cultures of earth. It is very similar in some of the content of heimafilm. However, there is no speaking at all in the film. But it is a beautifully filmed journey.
I hope if you take the time to see it or if you have already seen it, you enjoy it.

Things that I love right now:
Sophie Ellis Bextor - http://www.sophieellisbextor.net/ for her music, fashion and make-up. Do you know her? Cos I'm guessing you'd like her style.
Charlie and Lola - I love the doodly collage style and the bright colours, as well as the adorable voices and stories! (I am 26, not 6 - honestly!)
I also love The Pipettes for their cool music, 60s style choreography, artwork and style. http://www.thepipettes.co.uk/. Check out the photos in the Media section of the site.
This cupcake website for the beautiful little cuppycake photos - http://cupcakestakethecake.blogspot.com/
Loving all your ideas too and will check out some of the films you mention asap.
Love and sunshine, Liana

pssst: i am in heima. for like a split second. at the asbyrgi concert. (which was actually the last night of the tour but they show it out of order to make the movie even more prettified. which is allowed.)

HI! The movie Frida with Salma Hayek is ok, But I can tell you that there is a better movie (in my opinion) about Frida, It is Called "Frida" with a Mexican Actress (Ofelia Medina) the director of this movie is Paul Leduc, it was made in the 70's is a better film and more real to what Frida was. I hope you have the chance to watch it one day ;)
