Hey Elsie!
I have been on a HUGE music finding kick lately - some of my current favorites are The Weepies (good tracks are "World Spins Madly On" and "Gotta Have You") and EastMountainSouth. Their entire album (there's only one) is wonderful, but particularly great songs are "Hard Times," and "So Are You to Me." Enjoy! =)

Hi, Elsie! Just ordered your new book and some Love, Elsie goodies from Two Peas...can't wait!
I just got this book that I think you might like; it's called Big Eye Art by Blonde Blythe. It's got different artist's modern take on the Big Eye kids (and 'pity kitties' and 'puppies', too!). Very, very inspiring.
Thomas Woodruff's art is amazing, too. There was a half hour docu on the Gallery channel (our cable system has it on the HD channels). Anyway, his "Freak Parade" is just beyond description. Unfortunately, I haven't come across a web page for him, but bookmistress.com has the FP book for sale (just ordered!). He's definately worth seeking out!
For some kitschy music, try "Xanadu"...the original movie soundtrack. ELO's "I'm Alive" makes me happy :). Also listening to Lily Allen lots. Happy Creating!

Have you heard of "Built by Snow" I love their album "Noise"; and "the Postal Service" and how about some old school.....Siouxsie and the Banshees.
Can't wait to check out the new book!

Have you heard Sara Bareilles yet? Her CD is great!
I'm also always inspired by looking around Etsy, although I know you already know about Etsy since you have a shop! I recently opened a shop there, BlessedRoadPhotos. So anyways, there are two inspiration ideas! :)

Also gotta love Rilo Kiley - Under the Blacklight.
I love Breakin Up, Silver Lining & The Moneymaker
Or not so new but no less great Incubus - Make Yourself
