in preparation for our Nerd themed party this coming Friday, i thought i would post a few of my favorite nerdy trends....
nerd glasses. that one is a given. i've been obsessed with them all year. we have tons in our shop. i love them all, vintage or new!
(vintage frames found here.)
and this dress is perfection.
love this one lots too!
and every nerdy girl needs a big plaid bow.
oh, and a magical bike with basket gets bonus points....
Hope you've enjoyed my guide to cute nerdiness! XO
happy Tuesday! Elsie

Loving that bike... I'm still looking for a pretty basket for mine =)

Love it. I too think all nerds have a vintage typewriter. I just found the prettiest one from the 1920s for a whole $1.50 at my local thrift store. I about died!

hey hey.
i'm still doing the tattoos. actually, i just need to color them in photoshop. i understand that people are anxious about that. i promise i am doing my best to make time for it! thanks for being patient.
the bike was just from a google search. like "bike with basket" or something. i don't actually know where or if it's available to buy.
XOXO. els

The picture of the bike is taken in amsterdam in front of a great second hand store. It is just your typical bike they sell here.Best ones are found here: www.fietsfabriek.nl
Everyone is just always painting their bikes for fun but also bikes get stolen non-stop so you make it recognizable so changes are a day after you seem someone else bike around on it and you can try to get it back or just be very irritated for the rest of the day:-) I had 2 bikes stolen in one week. Usually you can find them back at the bottom of a canal!

So much fun! I think you may have inspired our family picture wardrobe!

we have those bikes here in germany, too :D they're called "hollandrad", and from the name you can tell they are from the netherlands :D oh, and they are so so comfortable and many people here paint them in different colours. mine was red but i'm looking forward painting my new (actually "old" - i bought it used) bright and dark blue. who knows? :)
but very cute finds, and i LOVE the fact that my perler beard is up here <3

I consider myself more of a geek than a nerd. That comes from knowing HTML code. :) Love this post.
