My sister and I made sock monkeys for the first time this week! We had fun putting together our dolls and making cute and silly accessories for them. In this last photo he is wearing a little snow cap from another recent DIY post. Here are some cool vintage instructions if you'd like to try making your own sock monkey. You'll need two socks. There are lots of ways to customize your sock monkey or make a monkey 'couple'... aweee. You can use these traditional socks or something more colorful, like stripes! It's pretty simple to to piece together and figure out, even with basic sewing skills. I will say that the project is more time consuming than I would have guessed, though. ;) It's a fun snow day activity!

So Cute! Do you ever give away your creations to charities, or children's advocacy centers? I bet they would love to receive some of your creations, hand made with love.
