well hello there! i am excited to share with you a super fun DIY today! these are valentine's for 'Pals'. Not everyone in your life needs a 'romantic' valentine, but it's still fun to share the love! These valentines can be made with silly photos of random people (mine are mostly celebrities and characters from favorite films) or people you know in real life. you don't need drawing skills to create these, because they are traced. here's how i made mine....
step 1: find an image (or print one out) that you would like to trace. i used this adorable pug from an ad i picked up (by the way... if you live in the midwest, this is a real charity that needs adoptive and foster homes for rescued pugs!). you'll want to use print outs or images that are blank on the back (one sided) so you can get a good trace.
step 2: trace your image. i like to use window light for tracing! here are a few tips... trace your image quickly, this will give you the best 'free hand' look (it doesn't look as forced), focus on getting the primary features and don't worry about every little detail and try more than once if you are just getting started! :)
step 3: cut out your drawing and adhere it to a hand cut heart!
ta-da!!! that's it. simple, quick and SUPER cute Valentines for all your pals!
Hope you enjoyed this one! Have a lovely evening! XO. elsie
ps... here are a couple of shots from today (wearing my new favorite hoodie from All Mighty! :D)
