Since returning to Missouri, Emma and I have been working 12 hour days preparing for the new shop and updating the website. This morning Em had a hair appointment so I leaped the chance for a little bit of just-for-fun thrift shopping. Our new shop inventory is beyond full and I don't really 'need' to be buying anything, it's just my favorite way to relax! It was a REALLY good day. Here's what I found... A beautiful aqua typewriter.
Pretty Striped canvas for me (thinking Halloween themed plush foxes?!) and mustard yellow melmac plates for Emma (the perfect size for a cupcake!).
A pretty amazing dress... I can't wait to try this in a shoot next week! This find will go in the shop since it doesn't fit me (haha... i would totally keep it! i'm bad). It's sooo pretty.
And the only type of hangers I love, besides classic wood hangers. Finding these always makes my day! They're so charming & granny chic!
Hope you have a lovely weekend! I'm planning to catch up on internet work, move furniture and deep clean our new space with Emma & Doren. We've gotten so so much done in these past two weeks, but it's still sorta crazy on the eyes. I have a feeling that in the next week it will start to 'come together' and I can share many more photos from the inside. Happy weekend! elsie

Cute finds! I'm hoping to be as lucky as you this weekend when I venture out on my thrifty adventure!!

Oh no way! I have the exact same vintage aqua typewriter! I bought it off Etsy and it's the cutest thing. I'm glad for whoever gets to buy it from the new Red Velvet Shop one day...

There is a giant antique mall here in Austin, and I also treated myself to some melmac dishware! I love that stuff.
