Day Two started off smashingly with waffles and coffee! We were pretty happy to see the sunshine. (this is where Crazy Renegade Story #2 begins.....) We started setting up our space for the day and Jeremy looks at me and says "Where are all the dresses". We looked at each other blankly for a sec as we realized that *MOST* of the dresses we had brought with us from our shop had been stolen. We were sorta in shock and spent the next little while curiously talking about what anyone would possibly do with 20 or so vintage dresses in all different sizes and styles. What a strange thing to steal! We quickly brushed it off and had a pretty amazing second day.
Here are a few photos from our little shared booth. I love Katie's cute little animals. It was super sunny on Sunday!
We had fun chatting, met tons of blog readers and new crafty pals and had some amazing pizza! Red Velvet sold SO many prints. It was really fun to see my artwork heading off to new homes. :)
Some of our sweet friends stopped by to see us too! After the fair we had dinner, drinks and ice cream with Mandi and pals. It was the perfect way to end the day.
On monday Jeremy and I decided to have a little bit of fun before heading home. We did a little shopping and had Thai food and bubble tea (OK, wow... Chicago has the best Thai food out of any city we've visited. We've had it at 3-4 different places in Chicago recently, all amazing! Pot Pan was the absolute best Thai we've had!)
We spent most of the drive back to Missouri finalizing Autumn plans for Red Velvet. We had lots to do in the next 7 weeks before the store opens... SUPER excited! We even did a tiny bit of wedding planning... basically, I had the best weekend ever with Mr. Larson! Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who came out the Renegade this year. We will be back to Chicago again someday... no doubt about that!
XO. elsie
PS. i lovee this adorable lomo photo that brittni took with us. thanks for sharing!

I cannot believe your dresses were stolen! Wow. Some people.
And the Thai food in Chicago is really to die for. My new favorite place is Sticky Rice, which is a little bit north (Western and Irving Park area), but worth the trek!

Haha... I kept waiting to read that you'd somehow found the dresses! I was sure it was going to be the end of the story...
But I really admire you for getting it so easily and being able to laugh at it...
It's so much fun hearing you enjoyed your weekend so much! I don't know *why* it is so fun but from some reason reading about it just makes me feel good. :)

I can't BELIEVE someone stole dresses from you guys! Especially at an event like that where it seems everyone's very communal and down to earth. I'm glad you guys didn't let it bug you though, looks like you had a great time!

It is inspiring to me how well you handled the theft of the dresses. Crappy stuff happens, and I'm sorry that it did, but I hope to be a little more chill about that kind of thing.

looks like Renegade Chicago was amazing, minus the little blip with the dresses... I wish I could have visited! Maybe next year you'll come to Renegade Brooklyn??

That's so sad that someone would steal from you. :( But I'm glad that it didn't negatively affect your trip. Sounds like you guys had an amazing time!
I can't wait to see the finished product of your new store. I want to go see it in person sometime. :)
