What's better than a crochet hook? A crochet hook studded with rhinestones, of course! Here's a happy little D.I.Y. project you can make for crafty ladies in your life. It's a great gift idea, or a nice 'gift to self' (wink!). Emma already stole mine. Ready, set, go.....
As soon as I saw Twinkie's rhinestone studded crochet hook I immediately asked her if she'd be interested in sharing her concept here on A Beautiful Mess as a D.I.Y. project. She loved the idea and so this D.I.Y. was born....♥ hooray!
Twinkie's sparkly crochet hook has all the essential elements of a great gift project... supplies cost less than $10, project takes less than 30 minutes to complete and it's completely adorable and unique! When I first saw twinkie's tricked out hook I wanted and needed one of my own. I'm excited for readers all over to create their own kitschy crafts supply. 1-2-3.... Be-dazzle!
Supplies needed: large or XL plastic crochet hook, super glue, rhinestones. Twinkie also used gold spray paint to re-color her needle... see her photo for a visual example.
To create these cute hooks, simply super glue rhinestones on. I added mine in rows and then in a smaller, tighter section. See below for examples.
They're silly... they're sparkly and they're so much fun!
Thanks, Twinkie for sharing your magic! Happy Day 1 of 12 Days of Handmade! XXo. elsie
