i am super excited to share this week's Project ReStyle by guest designers, Shauna and Stephen of Something's Hiding In Here.
candle sticks made from salvaged spindles
inspired by our new years resolution to do more entertaining, we wanted to make our own candle sticks for a cozy dinner party. to get started we rummaged our studio and found some old architectural spindles. we hand cut them to length with a small japanese pull saw. then, drilled a hole into the top with a forstner bit to fit a small taper candle. that's it - so simple!
thanks so much for playing along, Shauna and Stephen! this project is a perfect example of creating something beautiful from something forgotten. Magical!
Here are my favorite ReStyles from our Flickr group this week....
I positively love this bright and cheery ReStyled shelf.
These ReStyled Shoes are highly impressive, no?
and I really love that Aoife dyed this stained dress to give it an extra life.
Almost 1000 bloggers are participating in Project ReStyle now! If you're interested in joining, read info here. You can join any time. It's lots of fun and earth friendly too! XO. elsie

The dress is very cute and has put me in the mood for spring, which still seams so far away. A big fan of the shelving unit also, it was quite ugly before the re-style
