A few years ago, my grandma started giving Emma and I her clothes. These weren't just any clothes... these were her favorite things from when she was our age. Incredible vinatage pieces. One of my most prized pieces is a 1960s swimsuit that she splurged on during her honeymoon. For each piece of clothing we take home there is a sweet story of when she bought it and all the places she wore it. I love this...
Since then, each time I get a new dress that I love, I imagine my granddaughters battleing it out for these pieces when I'm old. It's a fun thought and so when I find amazing dresses, coats and shoes I keep them forever.... you know, just in case!

Such a sweet story :) I always wished my grandma + mom saved their clothes, dolls, etc. for me! I have a heart clock necklace from my great grandmother that I cherish + my grandmother has given me some awesome jewelry too. For my wedding I used some of my grandmother's enamel flower brooches that I always had my eye on ;)

this is a wonderful story and perfect for wanting to hold on to pieces to pass down.
Even if it is something too big or too small I like to frame things to keep the memory
I have dresses that are too small for me hanging from oversized frames, it makes great artwork and keeps a memory. :)
