I wanted to share another photo I took of Stacy for her new project, Sucré. The last set of photos I shared were from last summer. This one is from this month. We spent a couple days taking photos in outfit after outfit and channeling all kinds of crazy inspiration. I've been having so much fun playing the role of stylist for her! It really gives collecting dresses a whole new meaning because there are so many amazing vintage dresses that aren't really approriate for a lot of occasions, except music videos and photo shoots!
I've always dreamed of working in music, but not so much on the music... on the fashion side. In fact, after highschool my sister and I wanted to create a band. We even found all the players for our band and someone to write all our songs (my dad... i love you, dad). We soon realized that the most exciting part about starting a band, to us, was picking out outfits and taking photos. Wow... that's embarrassing to even admit, but it's so so true. Through the years I've idolized singers like Bjork, Nina Persson and Jenny Lewis. They are true style icons. It's really creatively satisfying to find a home for all my photos ideas with Stacy's music. Do I sound gushy? I'm ok with that.
Here's a couple snaps of us celebrating at Aviary after a week of shooting photos and filming a music video. My heart is bursting with joy for Stacy, Darren and Jeremy. I think that savoring the success of the ones you love is one of the most beautiful human emotions. Now, I just can't wait for you to hear the music! xo. elsie

Hi!
Very nice pictures :)
Just wanted to say...
Sucre means Sugar (no accent)
Sucré is the adjectiv

Eeee! I've loved Stacy for years! I got the chance to meet her in Chicago a few years ago and Darren took our photo in an alleyway, haha. She was sweet and I was awkward. But I'm glad I was able to chat with her for that short while! I haven't been excited about a new album in so long... I seriously can't wait for this release. I will play it non-stop, I'm sure. :)
When I found out the two of you knew each other, I was all "whoaa no way!" since I've loved you for years, too, Elsie! ;) Seeing the two of you work together is magical!
xoxoxo,
Amanda

I'm gushing right there with you, Elsie! The photos you took are amazing, as is the styling. I can't wait to hear Stacy's solo stuff. I'm a HUGE fan of Eisley so it'll be interesting to hear what Stacy's music sounds like when it's been created solely by her. Thanks so much for sharing what you've been able to on this new venture of hers!

Someone already half beat me to the punch...with the accent, the best translation of sucré is "sweet".
I wanted to be in a band, too...only I had no musical talent whatsoever! Were you going to sing your dads' songs or play an instrument (or both)?

Just lovely! I adore Eisley so I'm sure this will be a real treat :)
