We had the best time making these red saddle shoes. I've been wanting a red pair for years, so this was the perfect opportunity to try it out! Here's what we did...

1. You'll need- A pair of white flats, Martha Stweart All Surface craft paint in red and pink, paint brushes. 2. Mark off the areas of the shoe that you plan to paint with painted Xs. 3. Paint 2-3 coats (dry between each) until the surface is completely covered. 4. Add cute hearts, dots of a pattern of your choosing! Enjoy...

Have a wonderful weekend! xo. elsie +

I have to make a pair for myself :)

I was a highschool cheerleader in the 80s and we used to do our shoes this way for cheering except we'd use nail polish.
And on the cold days in Maine we used to wear "genie" pants instead of skirts - although I can't really see those making a comeback.

These are just perfect, they'd brighten up any outfit! I'd never really thought about customizing my shoes with paint (though we used to all draw on our converse back in school!), you make it look pretty fail-proof though!I especially love the wee stamp details, so sweet!
