We love a good novelty print! Anything from animals to food or pretty things... We adore silly prints! They can be a fun little detail to an otherwise causual outfit (like Emma's dino top). Or a novelty print can become the focal point of your ensemble (like Elsie's handmade pony dress!).
Emma's Wearing: Dinosaur Top/Francesca's, Necklace c/o Shlomit Ofir, Cardigan and skirt/American Apparel, Socks/Sock Dreams, Boots/Vintage.
Elsie's Wearing: Pony Dress/Hand Printed (learn how here!), Cardigan/Urban Outfitters, Shoes c/o ModCloth, Belt c/o Darlingtonia.

I love Emma's shirt! The color is awesome! You guys always mix colors so well!

Love the pony dress. I have a dress covered in elephants from anthropologie that I wore to a wedding. Funny print, classic cut.

This post me made chuckle. Earlier I saw your last post & finding your pony dress absolutely brilliant, I immediately started daydreaming about using the technique to liven up an old skirt and have pretty much settled on dinosaurs (I have two little boys who are obsessed) as the print :)

I love novelty prints too, but I feel like they can make outfits predictable and easy to repeat. Could you maybe do a feature where you style novelty print pieces more than one way?

I love that Dinosaur tank too! I want it so badly but just looked on the Francesca's site and couldn't find it. Could you share a link for it?
Thanks!

THAT DINOSAUR TOP, I MUST HAVE IT. I've never been into the local Francesca's, but I'm going to blitz it this afternoon. I may cry if they don't have it. So adorable!
I recently sewed up a dinosaur-print sweater (http://www.flickr.com/photos/volcanomouse/6899590573/ , I am very proud!). Can a girl have too many dinosaur-print items? ...I suspect not.

The prints are so adorable! I keep seeing really cute horse print dresses around town and I need to pick one up one of these days... so cute.
