Looking for useful ways to display your iPhone photos? I used some of my favorite Instagram photos to recover a simple journal. I'm so excited to carry this book around all month and to jot down ideas and inspiration. You want to make one too? Here's how...
1-2. Measure the front of the journal you will be using then add 1/2 an inch to the length and width. Create a document that size in Photoshop and copy/paste instagram photos in different sizes all over the document. Print your image. Repeat one more time for your back cover. 3. Use scrapbooking adhesive all the way around the front cover of your journal. Be sure to get very close to the edge for the best result. 4-5. Adhere your photo to the cover, press down on all edges. Open the cover and use the inside cover as a guide to cut away the excess so that the photo matches the shape of your cover exactly. Repeat with back cover. 6. Use decorative tape to create a binding all the way down the spine with 2 inch pieces of tape. 7. Before you adhere your stickers to the cover, cut them out so you can experiment with placement. 8. Adhere stickers to the front cover and enjoy your new personal journal!

That's such a lovely idea! I always have some notebooks or journals with me, but they are mostly quite boring from the outside. That's perfect for prettying them up! Thanks for all your great DIYs and inspiration! I love reading your blog!

I used to do something similar for my planner! I'd buy the cheapest, (and most of the time ugliest) planner I could find, and make a cover for it in photoshop with photos or an artwork I liked. It's a great way to get something original and save some money!

I do something like this with my students' writing notebooks. We take an extra step and "laminate" the entire notebook. If I catch a sale on clear contact paper we'll use that, but usually we just end up using packing tape.
