Hello there! It's that special time of year... time for Holiday parties, bruches and special events! Here's a super casual Holiday look that you could wear almost anywhere. I must confess, I still have SO much gift shopping to do. Last night Mr. Larson and I started building "fort christmas" in our bedroom... it's our favorite tradition. I'll share photos next week! xo. elsie
Today, I thought it would be fun to share two different stylings for one piece of clothing. I loved the dress and the colder weather has me inspired to try lots of different layering ideas!
In styling one, I wore my dress over jeans with boots and a jacket. Needless to say this day was extra cold and I needed the layers! I love the little bit of chevron peeking out and that when you wear a dress under a jacket it can almost look like a skirt. ♥
In styling two, I wore knee socks and my comfiest boots. The little pocket belt is my favorite new accessory. It's perfect for keeping little things like lip gloss or my id. If I ever wear a shorter skirt in the winter I always wear tights or knee socks so I don't freeze. I love knit hats. I try not to wear them everyday, but I wear them way way too much in the winter months. ♥
I hope your day has been wonderful. I spent the whole day doing final touches for my home tour photo shoot tomorrow... Yep, I'll finally be sharing photos of our little newlywed pad very soon. Can't wait! xo. elsie
I don't know if you've noticed, but I have a thing for polka dots! Pretty much any black and white pattern is my obsession this season. I'm in love...
I love long sleeve dresses, but they're now quite as easy to layer as sleeveless dresses. Here are two ways that I like to style them. First, Try rolling the sleeves up. This can sometimes be more flattering, or just a fun way to add some variety to a dress you like to wear often! Next, try layering a cardigan over a long sleeve dress or top. I love the pop of pattern peeking out from the cardigan sleeve. Those are just a few ideas. What are your favorites? xo. elsie
