It's a new season so I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite scents! Some of these I've been loving for a long time and some are recent additions. The Garden of Good & Eva by Benefit, Wish and Imagine by Lollia (I actually want to collect all of the Lollia scents, they're incredible). I love the Orla Kiely fragrance, Holly gifted it to me before my wedding and I wore it on my wedding day. Still loving Marc Jacobs Eau So Fresh as well. Maiden Twists Hairstyle D.I.Y.

 

Hi there! We're super excited to share Katie's adorable hairstyle idea today. We all love maiden braids (also called heidi braids or dutch braids) and Katie came up with a really cute spin on this style. Best of all, it's super easy to style. I can't wait to wear these... 

 

 

1. Start with a section of hair behind your ear or directly above, depending on the length. 2-3. Split the section in two pieces and begin twisting until you reach the end. 4. Take the twisted hair and wrap it over your head. Pin in place. 5. Repeat on the other side. 6. Once you have twisted and pinned both pieces, be sure to tuck any ends so they don't show.

Custom Makeup Brush DIY Project

Here's a cute way to customize a makeup brush set! These patterned brushes will make you happy each morning when you're getting ready. This project is perfect for the weekend!1. Supplies: wooden makeup brushes, Martha Stewart craft paint, paint brushes, and sanding block. 2. Sand down your brush handles. Unless the wood was already unfinished, this will help the paint to cling to the surface. 3. Paint a base coat, we chose white! Add a second coat if you need to. 4. Paint a pretty design. We chose polka dots and stripes with a messy, handmade look. Have fun! I love the custom look of the finished brushes! How To Style Pin Curls

Have you ever wondered how to style vintage inspired pin curls? Just follow these simple steps! 1. Pin up all of your hair except for a section at the bottom. 2-4. Spray with water and begin taking small sections (about 1 inch) and rolling the hair up to the root. Pin in place. 5-6. Once you finish with the bottom section, release a new section from the pinned hair and continue as before. Do this until all hair is rolled and pinned in place.  If you have any shorter hair left on the side, take it and pin it around one of the curls. 7-8. Finish off your bangs by wetting thoroughly and rolling to the hairline.

Tips: If you have shorter bangs you may need mousse or gel to hold them in place. These curls are also great as "no heat" curls, but using bobby pins will create a dent in the curl.  Instead, use 2 prong curl clips (also known as pin curl clips).
