Let's Talk About Swimsuits

Later this week, Emma and I are headed to Mexico for a quick vacation with our guys. This trip kick started our brains into swimsuit shopping mode. It's not easy to find the perfect swimsuit, so I've gathered up a few of my favorites from this season to share with you today. 

Pictured Above: 1. Love the anchor pattern. 2. I ordered this suit (top/bottom), but haven't tried it on yet. Ordering swimsuits online is the ultimate stress, am I right? 3. I have this suit and can't wait to wear it. It's fun and retro, but still very comfy. 4. Loving floral prints this season (and every season, I think...) 5. This geometric print is so cute and reminds me of Emma. (top/bottom) 6. Gah- I love this design so much. 7. This is my suit from last year. It's comfy, flattering and comes in a huge range of sizes. 8. Isn't this print gorgeous?

Rosemary Lemonade

This just might be my favorite lemonade recipe. It's simple. It's not too sweet with a little punch of savory from the rosemary. And it's just the perfect amount of flavor to be delicious and very refreshing. And if you'd like to swap out the rosemary for, say, thyme or basil you easily can. Make it your way and get excited with me about summer!Rosemary Lemonade, makes 5-6 servings

5-6 lemons
3-4 sprigs of rosemary
1 cup sugar
6 cups water

In a small pot combine 1 1/2 cups water with 1 cup sugar. Cook over medium heat and stir to dissolve the sugar. Once the sugar has dissolved turn off the heat and throw in a sprig of rosemary. Allow that it sit until the water has cooled. Discard the rosemary sprig.In the meantime extract the juice from 5 lemons. You are aiming for 1 cup of lemon juice. You may need an additional lemon, or you may need one less depending on how large your lemons are. In a pitcher combine the lemon juice, sweetened water and the remaining 4 1/2 cups (cold) water. Stir together. Serve over ice, garnished with a few lemon slices and rosemary sprigs.If you're feeling naughty add a splash of bourbon. :) Enjoy! xo. Emma

Sister Style: Peanut Butter Coffee

Do you guys have nostalgic foods? We sure do. Peanut butter coffee drinks remind us of the olden days because it's something we would have ordered in high school. There's a certain pizza place that reminds us of when we used to photograph weddings together (forever ago!). There's a pizza place in our grandparent's town that is literally a slice of our childhood (I guess we really like pizza, huh?). And pretzels at the mall remind us of our mom. What about you? What are your favorite memory foods?

Today Is (Crazy!!!)

I know I am always talking about how crazy life is. But wow... just wow. Life is really crazy right now. We're in a complete whirlwind it seems. We're knee deep in the home renovation process (you're gonna die over Emma's new kitchen!!), scheduling (12 more!) photo shoots for our current book project, several fun collaborations, making videos (this is really really fun—can't wait to share) and, of course, wedding planning! That last one is our favorite. I can't believe Emma's wedding is only a few months away... and I can't wait to share the showers I've been planning for her with you. It's going to be SO. much. fun. Ok- my head is exploding. Hope yours is too- and I meant that in the very best way possible. TGIF! Elsie

Pictured: 1.2.3. I've been enjoying painting lately. It's a major stress reliever after a long day. 4. Pillows are an obsession around here. And rugs. And blankets. And CHAIRS... chairs are my favorite. 5.6. Our closet renovation is almost complete. I'll share before & after photos with you eventually. Right now it's completely empty and it's time to put everything back in- a good time to do one more big purge too! #springcleaning PS- Isn't that ukulele shirt adorable? it's jeremy's and it's from TopMan. 7.
