D.I.Y. Project,Project ReStyle,

I am so in love with this restyled sweatshirt. When Amanda sent it my way I think I gasped aload! It's so beautiful, simple and cozy. Who doesn't want to look pretty in something so comfy! Here's how you can make your own...
6a00d8358081ff69e20162fc42ecd4970d-800wiSupplies needed: sweatshirt, crochet doilies, scissors, pins, thread, bias tape, crochet or embroidery thread, sewing machine, crochet/lace trim (optional).

Step 1. Cut the neckline off your sweatshirt for an off-the-shoulder look, then arrange the doilies along the neckline.2Step 2. Pin doilies to shirt.5Step 3. Using an embroidery thread or crochet thread that matches the doilies, make a couple of stitches every half inch or so. Also add a few stitches to the middle of each doily or anywhere else that may need it.

Step 4. After cutting the excess from the doilies on the neckline, pin and sew the bias tape. This will prevent the doilies from unraveling.

Step 5. Add a little decorative trim if you like! Most craft stores sell pretty lace and crochet varieties.

Your sweater can be washed on gentle cycle and either hung to dry or dried with low heat. A simple and pretty way to stay warm in the upcoming winter months!

Thanks so much, Amanda, for sharing this beautiful idea! I can see a hoodie version of this project in my near future! xo. elsie
