Red Velvet Craft Weekend!
it's finally here!!!! full details about the RVA Craft weekend (April 30-May 2)! Class sign ups will begin Wednesday (March 18) at 6pm CST right here on this blog! :D We are so excited to host this event in our hometown at the Historic Firehouse (right across the street from the RVA store!). It's an amazing venue on our beautiful historic street! There are lots of beautiful vintage stores on the street, the best coffee in the world, a chocolate factory and our favorite pizza ever! We can't wait to share this experience with you. We plan on being creative all weekend, taking an insane amount of photos and eating lots of cupcakes! It's going to be WONDERFUL! First of all, We are offering a basic 'Weekend Package'.
Here's what this package includes:
-A two session inspiration class with Elsie, Rachel & Emma. We will create an inspiration book together and fill it with notes, images and ideas for all of our favorite things; photography, scrapbooking, stitching, home decor, toy making, painting, handmade fashion, crafts & more!
Note: These are lecture based classes with an idea book kit that we will work on together. You'll get tons of information and inspiration!
-A RVA Craft Weekend Reusable Tote Bag!
It's a super cute new exclusive bag for our event!
-Crafting "Free time"
You'll have space in our venue's upstairs room throughout the weekend to craft with your friends in your free time!
-A Studio Open House!
You'll be invited for a little tour of Elsie's home studio complete with cupcakes and ice cream, of course!

You'll receive a kit with 5 favorite things from Elsie, Rachel & Emma. We had so much fun handpicking these items and can't wait to share them!
-Saturday Night Craft Party!
We will end the weekend with a super fun craft party in the fire house! You'll be able to work on your favorite crafting projects from the weekend, enjoy cute music and participate in our silly games and giveaways! We will also do a little Q&A Session with the RVA girls!
We have hired a photographer to be at the craft party. You'll have access to all the photos! It's going to be so much fun!

Elsie Flannigan:
A Beautiful Mess Art Journal
Class Cost $46
Keeping art journals is a habit that has helped me feel creative and inspired for years! I am looking forward to sharing my personal process in this class.
In this class we will begin an art journal together. You'll receive a big blank journal and a kit full of small treasures handpicked by me. I'll share my personal journal with you and give you a mini book full of journaling prompts to help you get started!
'A Happy Little Home' Wall Organization System
Class Cost $34
In this class we will build a cute & functional wall organization system for your home. Elements include; a mini chalkboard, a cork board, a handmade photo frame and a weekly calendar. You'll get 52 weekly sheets, so this board will stay full year round! :D
Painted Ceramic Workshop
Class Cost $32
In this class you'll make hand painted ceramic dishware. You will receive one mug and one plate to paint. The class also includes idea sheets to take home with you. We will bake them for you and have them ready the next day! This workshop is extra long so that you'll have time to enjoy the process! :)
Screen Printed Stitches
Class Cost $28
In this class you'll have fun embroidering and embellishing 4 small screen printed designs (original art by: Elsie). You'll learn embroidery basics and ways to make this once very technical hobby as creative and free spirited as possible!
Rachel Denbow:
Make Your Own Leather Journal
Class Cost: $35
I first learned how to make leather journals in college 7 years ago and haven't stopped since! There is something a little more satisfying about writing in a journal you put together yourself. You'll receive a leather cover, pre-cut paper, a needle, waxed linen thread, an ice pick, and a leather strap. You'll learn ways to customize your journal and where to purchase your own leather hides for future journal making.
'Crafty Like A Fox' Tote
Class Cost: $28
Start with a screen printed canvas tote and fill in the rest with hand-cut felt letters. Tote, felt, embroidery thread, needles, alphabet and chipboard will be provided. Your mixed media tote will make all of those errands a little more fun.
Dimensional Journaling
Class Cost: $35
In this class you'll use a custom, handcrafted box full of wooden blocks, paint, found papers and journaling prompts to create your own dimensional journaling art piece. Each block will be painted and then papered to create colorful surfaces to add your hidden journaling to. The staggered height and coordinating colors, along with your own text and images from vintage books, will create an interesting landscape that can double as art. Journaling prompts will be provided for specific blocks to help you tell your story as only you can.
Emma Chapman:
Felt Fun!
Class Cost $32
I've designed 10 fun felt patterns for you! In this class we will make the cute plaid pot holder & you'll get supplies and patterns for the other projects to take home. I love creating with felt and I can't wait to teach you new ways to use it!
